Penguin Heaven
If you want to be entertained then take a trip to the far south.
Penguins are everywhere, and you will never tire of their antics as
they go about their daily routine. I put lots of their pictures on this
page so you can get an idea of how often we were surrounded by penguins
(and also penguin guano).
The 3 species we encountered were:
Chinstrap
Gentoo
Adelie.
The rules state we must stay at least 5 meters away from them. Many of the young are going through what is termed a "catastrophic
molt", which is a stressful time for them and we do not need to add
more stress. You
will see pictures of the young penguins molting in this page. Penguins
do do not have the same rules as us humanoids though, and will
oftentimes come right up to you.
